ATD | Dubai Experts

ATD was formed to serve travel agents and individual travelers interested in adventure travel. Initially, the emphasis was on southern Africa but ATD has broadened its horizons to include, in particular, East Africa, Australia and New Zealand, the Middle East and South America. We have developed a strong leisure Middle East following through our retail division Wayland Travel. ATD also acts as a consolidator for several international airlines serving Africa, the Middle East and other destinations and can offer low discount fares.

OUR PHILOSOPHY We specialize in some of the world's greatest adventure travel destinations. Our aim is to take travelers off the beaten path to places where they can truly experience the culture and feel part of the environment. In wilderness areas we use small camps and lodges with ecologically sensitive management and highly trained guides. In cities we select properties that offer guests a high level of personal service and insight into the local culture. Our itineraries are tailor made to suit each client and we endeavor to provide the best possible service at the lowest reasonable cost.

OUR STAFF ATD is owned and managed by Ian Scott, Marilyn Scott and Karen Schragle. Between them they have visited over 100 countries. Ian has made more than 35 trips to Africa, which is his particular specialty. Five of our agents have traveled to Dubai and others will be traveling this year. Eight of our specialists have visited the Pacific Rim and ten Africa. ATD has made a point of hiring staff members who love adventure travel and a desire to share their experience with our clientele. Our 25 knowledgeable consultants have an average of 13 years in the travel industry and have made multiple trips to exotic destinations.

OUR FUTURE We intend to continue our emphasis on adventure and travel to less traditional destinations. We look for a large proportion of our business to come from our current clients and through the internet.
