Al Maha Resort, set within a 25 square kilometer desert conservation reserve, is a 45 minute drive from Dubai. Framed by the distant Hajar Mountains and designed to reflect a Bedouin encampment, Al Maha offers contrasting luxury. On the one hand, the lifestyle of luxury lavish suites, your own private pool, fine food and wine and on the other, a rare sanctuary of tranquility, balance and peace. Here you can discover the living desert with its flora and fauna, its colors and scents. With the help of your trained field guide, you can ride across shifting dunes on a camel safari, be part of a falcon-training hunt, or practice archery from under a Bedu tent. More adventurous still is the exciting four-wheel drive across the dunes and wadis (dried up river beds) or a ride on an Arabian horse through Al Maha's endless desert surroundings. The desert has inspired romantics for centuries, and you will understand why when you experience a dinner in the dunes, with just the stars and the setting sun for company.
